Matt.B

​Matt.B (born Mathieu Bolduc on November 22, 1994 in Châteauguay, in the province of Quebec, Canada), is one of the guitarists of the Canadian alternative band Open-Minded Generation (OMG)

He grew up in several small towns in Greater Montreal. He says music has always been present in his life. From a family that is very involved in the music industry, some are members in bands or have already been. His uncle is also a renowned stage technician with a lot of influence. His father was his first musical influence. He always introduced him to different musical groups and genres. Matt also mentions having always been very close to his cousin Jay.B (singer, writer and manager of the group OMG) whom he considers as a brother. Mathieu says that his cousin was his greatest influence in music and a role model for him. It was also around the age of 14 that Jay.B introduced Mathieu to the electric guitar & also sold him his first musical instruments, 2 electric guitars (Hagstrom Swede black, Hagstrom Ultra Swede white) & a Marshall jcm2000 Dsl amp 100. It was at this time that Mathieu developed an increased passion for the guitar. His father enrolled him shortly after in guitar lessons to learn how to read tablatures and everything related to music.

It was only in later years (2023) that Jay.B invited his cousin to join his band as second guitarist of Open-Minded Generation. Mathieu accepted immediately because Jay.B's vision on music is the same as him.
